Iceland. The fishing season has started here in Iceland. Our sea trout rivers have done well considering snow and cold weather, especially around the East coast of Iceland. Lake Ţingvellir had its opening day the 20th of April and started well with fantastic Ice age brown trout’s caught. For vigorous angler Iceland has to offer some terrific spring fishing for brown trout and sea trout.
For most Icelandic anglers the trout season is the warm up for the main event, Salmon fishing. We start 5th of June with the good old-fashioned rivalry of Norđurá and Blanda River. Both rivers offer marvelous June salmon fishing and what is better than fighting a freshsilver Atlantic salmon? In June you can expect the two-year-old salmon, which means big salmon. The grilse follow in end of June and July.
Lax-á is fortunate that bookings for Iceland have never been better in its 27 year history. Nevertheless, we have some great fishing possibilities to offer. Rivers such as Langadalsá, Svartá, Stóra Laxá, SogÁsgarđur, Norđurá, West Rangá & East Rangá have all appealing dates for Salmon anglers.
