Anglers' Choice Contest

Written By: Pete Johnson
On Date: 3/2/2016

The idea is simple. The IGFA compiled a handful of what we consider to be the “best” record catches of the past year. These catches were chosen based on criteria such as the difficulty of the species, the size of the fish, the tackle used, and the history associated with that particular record.

From there, you, the international angling community, can vote on your favorite catches. The catch that receives the most votes by March 1, 2016 will receive the Angler’s Choice Award at the IGFA’s Angling Achievement Award ceremony on April 16, 2016.

Why vote?
Potentially win hundreds of dollars in great YETI product.
Voice your opinion on what you think is the best record catch of the past year.
Help to decide the first ever recipient of the Angler’s Choice Award.
Automatically receive a free IGFA I-Membership by signing up.
What can I win?
One of Four YETI Products
How do I win?
Simply sign up online, cast your vote, and you will automatically be entered into the contest for a chance to win four YETI products (Prize schedule listed below). The more you vote, the more you will increase your chances of winning each prize. So, be sure to come back and vote throughout the month!

How do I sign-up and vote?
All voting is done online, through the IGFA’s website: http://www.igfa.org/contests/AnglersChoice . Both members and non-members of the IGFA can vote and are therefore eligible for prizes. If you are currently an IGFA member, you can sign-in using your existing User ID and Password and vote away.

Not an IGFA member? Not a problem. You can still vote and win prizes by creating a free account with your name, your email address, and a password.

Who can view my contact information?
No third party will have access to your contact information. Only the IGFA will have access to your contact information, which is kept in a secure database, and it will only be used to notify you if you win a prize. Remember, by signing up to vote, you will automatically receive a free IGFA I-Membership (if you are not already a member). The winner of the Angler’s Choice Contest, the record catch that receives the most votes, will be recognized at the 13th Annual Angling Achievement Award ceremony at the IGFA Headquarters on April 16, 2016.

In the event of a tie when determining the Angler’s Choice Award recipient, each winning catch will be recognized and awarded at the ceremony on April 16, 2016 at the IGFA’s Headquarters.
