The fishery is open for Fly and Bait Fishing from 8am till 5pm, 7 days per week. Our High Powered Ice Prevention Wave Machines are working well again this winter, keeping the ice away from all three ponds. All three ponds will remain open all winter by default, so if other fisheries are frozen over or closed – we will be open! Yet again, an excellent week of fishing with many hard fighting fish caught, and many more released from 2lb to 16lb+ in the fly fishing lochans and the bait pond.
The two fly only lochans and the bait fishing lochan all fished well with Rainbows and Blues featuring amongst the catches. The fishery receives a fish delivery every week of the year, and we continue to stock 4 times per week at the moment.

Most fly fishers caught fish using floating lines or sink tip lines with a medium-long leader, slow intermediate lines are also working well.
Best flies this week: Humungus, Silver Sparkler, Gold Diawl Bach, PT Nymph, Pink Dancer, Cormorant, Hot Head Damsel, Viva, Cats Whisker.
Bait anglers best methods: Ledgered Maggots, Ledgered Brambling Worm, Green Power Bait.
