The latest world record submissions from around the globe The IGFA has recently received several potential new world record catches, including a California yellowtail on fly from Southern California, USA, two beautiful brook trout from Canada, and a quality rainbow trout on fly from Alaska, USA.
Menhaden need your help
While Atlantic menhaden stocks are recovering, their predators like striped bass, cobia, and king mackerel are struggling. It is time for the Atlantic States Marine Fisheries Commission (ASMFC) to move away from a management approach that only considers the menhaden population and not their predators.

World Angling Relief Fund
Helping the fishing industry recover from natural disasters
To address the impacts of recent disasters and be better prepared to respond to future catastrophes, the IGFA has created the Worldwide Angling Relief Fund (WARF).
The WARF will accept donations from the global recreational angling community and make grants to local angling organizations and associations to speed recovery efforts and get captains, guides, mates and anglers back out on the water.

IGFA Outreach & Education
Educating the next generation of recreational anglers
Members of the IGFA's Outreach & Education team recently participated in the annual KidStock program, where they educated young anglers on the basics of sport fishing and the importance of environmental stewardship. Not only did several participants catch their first fish ever, but for many of the youngsters it was their first time ever wetting a line!
