British Fly Fair 2018 Feb 10th and 11th

British Fly Fair International 2018, preparations are well under way with plenty of meat being put on the bones for the main event of the fly fishing calendar. There will be quite a few new faces amongst the 50+ guest tyers on ‘Fly Tyers Row’. We have a few new polish tyers including: Magdelena Pajak, Michal Zapal and Piotr Michna as well as the Italian Enrico Fantasia, the South African Arno Laubscher and new Irish Tyers George Burdess and Owen Trill. This is in addition to some of the old favourites: Doughie Loughridge, Frank Moors, Paul Little, Andre Mieiges and Riny Sluiter. A full line up is available on the website: www.bffi.co.uk
The programme for the two theatres is coming together with speakers on a variety of topics over the two days in the ‘Fly Tying in Focus Theatre’ and the ‘Fly Fair Forum’.
There will also be demonstration areas on Cane Rods and Furled Leaders with Luke Bannister and an interactive Entomology Experience with Stuart Crofts both in the third hall where Tyers Row is located.
Amongst the standholders representated at the show will be Snowbee, Deer Creek, Cookshill Fly Tying Materials, Vision, Fly Tying Company, Rodgers, Get the Rods Out and Flytek to name but a few. Don’t forget our Mini Expo Area in the second hall for small, new and specialist which will include: David Miller Art, Selectafly, Hunts Originals, and Jack Perks Photography.
The site offers free parking, a café facility, outdoor Casting Demonstrations, a bar and is all on one level. Prices are £12 for a one day ticket and £20 for a two day ticket on the door but can be pre-ordered from Steve Cooper on 01782-388382 at £10 for 1 day £17.00 for 2 day tickets.
The show will take place at Staffordshire Agricultural Showground, Weston Rd, Stafford ST18 0BD on Sat 10th and Sunday 11th of February 2018.
