A legislative amendment to the Billfish Conservation Act cleared the U.S. House of Representatives on June 25th. Only one step is left before it goes to the President to be signed into law! Once finalized, this law will ban the sale of marlin, sailfish and spearfish in the continental United States and fulfill the original intent of the Billfish Conservation Act.

Findings from the Caribbean Billfish Project
The IGFA is concluding its work on the Caribbean Billfish Project which began in 2015 in partnership with the Food & Agriculture Organization (FAO) of the United Nations, with the goal of maximizing the economic benefits of billfish resources in the Western-Central Atlantic. Remembering Two Angling Greats
