The show debuts Saturday, June 30, 2 p.m. EDT at majorleaguefishing.com

MLF Pros Klein and Montgomery Take Competition to the Range

TULSA, Okla. (June 29, 2018) - Major League Fishing pro anglers Gary Klein and Andy Montgomery take their highly competitive spirits to a whole new playing field when they battle it out to see who is the better at shooting and tactical skills to claim the bragging rights of "Major League Marksman."
The televised showdown debuts Saturday, June 30, on MajorLeagueFishing.com, coinciding with the airing of Major League Fishing on the Outdoor Channel, 2 - 4 p.m. EDT.

Klein and Montgomery, considered two of fishing's most accurate casters, first trained with elite instructors at the Sig Sauer Academy in Epping, N.H., and then competed on site at Area 51 in accuracy, precision, and speed with the Sig Sauer P320 pistol and the MCX Virtus Rifle.
"One of the first things I learned as a producer is that you often have very little control over the 'life' of a project, but this was a special one where everything seemed just right from the start," said Jeff Murray, a Managing Producer for Winnercomm, the Outdoor Sportsman Group production house that produces MLF. "The weather was perfect, the Sig Sauer staff well-prepared and my camera guys on top of their game. But no doubt the icing on the cake was the performance by Gary and Andy, both of whom are always a pleasure to work with but neither of which likes to lose. This show captures it all."
Both Klein and Montgomery are accomplished outdoorsmen and

familiar with firearms, but the competitive nature of this event on the many indoor and outdoor ranges and training areas on the facility's 140 acres had their adrenalin rushing upon arrival.
"I feel like I can cast with anybody in the world, but when I know we're going to have a shooting competition and I see Gary, I think, uh-oh, this isn't going to be good ... ol' Andrew might get embarrassed on TV," Montgomery said.
"Andy is a great athlete, Andy's an outdoorsman, and the best shot will win," Klein added.
Watch the show's premiere on Saturday, June 30, 2 p.m. EDT, at

About Major League Fishing
Developed through a joint effort between Outdoor Channel and two-dozen premier bass fishing anglers in 2011, Major League Fishing brings the high-intensity sport of competitive bass fishing into America's living rooms in the form of riveting two-hour TV episodes. World-class anglers are filmed over the course of a six-day event. The show captures their efforts as they utilize a demanding format that allows them to weigh all the "scorable bass" they catch. Unlike other competitive fishing events, live leaderboards in the boats allow anglers to know their standings at all times. For more information about the game, visit MajorLeagueFishing.com and follow Major League Fishing on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
