I can smell the Gotland sea trout in the fall breeze each day now. After busy and really hot summer months up north the Gotland fall fishery seems cooling and refreshing...Climate change gave us a few bad hits in Ammarnäs this summer. The water was very warm for a while, especially at lower altitudes, making C&R not very ethical. A forest fire situation that even though it was never close to us, resulted in restrictions in the use of fires for outdoor cooking, making outdoor activities a bit different.
In Tjuonajokk the fishing was not as affected, the Kebnekaise Glacier seems to cool the Kaitum river to quite normal temperatures. But the south summit of Kebnekaise it is not anymore the highest peak in Sweden. It decreased with four metres in just weeks... This natural cooling element will not remain forever, obviously.
We need to act now, and stronger than before. We need radical change in the way we relate to our only home, earth. FishYourDream needs to be at the forefront of using the business as a tool for making the world a better place. If only a tiny bit. A bold statement but the only possible one.
