Cosy, warm, Country cottage on the road to the Mull of Galloway, 2 miles from Drummore, South West Scotland. No smoking inside, don’t mind outside. Pets welcome by prior arrangement. Child friendly.
Just been awarded 3 star by Visit Scotland, Cyclist and Walkers Award, Children’s Award, Golfers, Anglers and Bikers Award. This is the highest award for the cottage as Visit Scotland requires large bedrooms etc, and this is a lovely cosy country cottage. I am pleased with this, I have all that Anglers would need, lockable shed for all fishing gear, freezer, nik naks for fishing, all fishing, sea and freshwater fishing, with easy access to the mighty rivers Annan and Nith, also an added bonus we live next door to Mr. Ian Burrett, Charter Fisherman, Onyer Marks, who specialises in light line Tope and Pollack fishing. An average day will produce 10-15 species but have had up too 27 species in one day in a species hunt. An average day will produce well over 100 Pollack for just four anglers, with some fish usually close to double figures. With the right conditions we will catch Tope from the end of May right through to the end of October, The end of May to August usually produces the most fish but September and October usually produces the bigger females. They have tagged and released two tope larger than the British record returned a Bull Huss large than the British record and have returned many Scottish records including Pollack, Wrasse and Conger, Scad, Bull Huss, and Launce.

If you don’t fancy self catering what about B & B with a beautiful en-suite bedroom/sitting room with views to the Mull of Galloway, Irish Sea, open countryside, and Isle of Man on clear day. Full Scottish Breakfast served early, late or later to suit your break. Normally £22 per person, book two nights or more and I will reduce price to £20 per person. B & B 4 star Visit Scotland, lovely, quiet retreat, don’t mind if you just want to sit in your room and relax all day and admire the view. Tea/Coffee making facilities in bedroom.
