Hungary’s fast growing FeHoVa hunting and fishing show is becoming the biggest exhibition of its kind in the regionThere is a growing appetite for new products amongst anglers in central and eastern Europe – and there is no better show for reaching these active buyers than FeHoVa in Budapest. Once again in February 2018, the region’s fastest-growing expo will take place at the Hungexpo Budapest Fair Centre – a venue well known in the European angling trade as the host venue of June’s EFTTEX trade show. And once again, expectations are high for an increase in fishing tackle exhibitors – as well as visitors eager to get hold of new angling gear.
The 2017 FeHoVa show saw a 5% increase in international vistors to 47,000. The event in 2018 takes place between February 15th and 18th and is expected to attract over 50 fishing tackle manufacturers from Hungary and beyond, including Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Slovenia, Romania and Serbia. Star-studded line-up of big brands
Many of the major international fishing tackle manufacturers will be at FeHoVa including: Rapala, Shimano, Cormoran, Trabucco, Energofish, Spro, Okuma, Prologic, Storm, Monster-Liver, Klárik, WaterLand, VMC, Savage Gear, Nash, Timár Mix, Nevis, Gamakatsu and Haldorado. These top brands will be exhibiting all their very latest tackle for the new season in recognition of the fact that the region is acknowledged as one of the biggest growth areas in the recreational fishing sector.

Meet anglers on a spending mission
Fishing continues to play a major role in FeHoVa. More than half of the visitors at last year’s show were anglers (25,000). These visitors are on a mission to find the latest tackle and bait, learn about new techniques, collect information on fishing trips and top venues as well as rub shoulders with some of the region’s best-known fishermen.
