Written By: Johann David
On Date: 1/3/2019

Dear Friends, I would like to wish you a happy new fishing year, and may it be a good one. Now the rivers in Scotland have opened for fishing and we are seeing slightly better catch numbers from river Dee than last year. We are getting really excited about the summer here in Iceland and believe it will be a good one in our rivers. We have a few good spots open in 2019 listed below, Johann David will be happy to negotiate a good price with you for those slots.
East Ranga
First of all we can offer the following in East Ranga. The East river was Iceland's second best river last year in terms of salmon caught and we are hoping for an even better performance in 2019.
East Ranga open dates in 2019!
July 11-17th
July 19-25th
August 17-21st

West Rangá

Secondly we can offer a limited number of rods in the popular West Ranga. West Ranga was Iceland's best river last year in number of salmon caught.

River Svartá

For a group of friends or a family that want to be to themselves we can offer a self-catering option. We have a few rivers with a self-catering lodge and river Svartá up north is one of those options.
Svartá is a gin clear tributary to the larger Blanda river. Svartá is best fished with a single hander and has four rods. There is a good self-catering lodge with five bedrooms and a Jacuzzi

August 6-11th - absolute prime time!
August 16-20th
September 4-10th

Close to Reykjavik or only 45 minutes away by car you will find the river Sog. The Sog is Iceland largest freshwater river and is known for her big salmon. We can offer the self-catering beat Asgard in the river Sog. The Asgard beat has three rods and a stunning lodge with four bedrooms overlooking the river. This is a perfect option for a group of friends or family.
