I would like to congratulate paddy the cope Gallagher for succeeding in emptying our rivers of wild salmon.
great credit is due to pat the cope as many of his predecessors have come very close but failed.
previous ministers buckled when told by scientists and anyone with eyes and half a brain in their heads that salmon stocks were on the point of collapse, but not our paddy, when advised by his scientists of imminent disaster for salmon stocks he stood firm and almost doubled the total allowable catch recommended by the scientists. in doing so paddy the cope has finally seen to the salmon as any angler who took out a license this year will confirm.I think in recognigition of this a new public holiday should be declared called paddy the cope day the man who drove the salmon out of Ireland.
