Prospects & General Comments:
Welcome to a new salmon fishing season 2014,
opening day at callander on the River Forth seen two fish I know of being caught, one at 13lb and the other at 15lb, both returned safely, I havent been on the river much due to the usual wet and cold weather, I have heard of a nice 25lb salmon being caught on one of the private beats of the Tieth, so there is fresh fish being taken, one kelt has been reported caught at the piers and dualy returned safely, the forth river system height of water is going up and down every couple of days at the moment it is in heavy spate after all the rain we had overnight, if the weather does improve I highly recommend a day fishing on the river , signs are pointing to a good spring run,

tight lines and good luck fishing
colin
