Poacher’s Pocket Fishing Rod (Tackle)
This is a truly remarkable little gadget - a portable fishing rod that fits in a glovebox or even a coat pocket. It's not It's not "full-size" and you couldn't use it for catching sharks, but at 4ft extended, it's definitely useable. The reel with reversible handle (so you can use it right or left-handed) and line brake/clutch - is something of an engineering masterpiece. The rod, made from aluminium alloy, has seven fibreglass draws that retract inside the handle for stowage (the reel detaches). A pen-style lid fits on top, giving a total length of just 8". Terrific idea and definitely not a toy, nor a novelty, well made and presented and ideal for the travelling angler to pop in their suitcase, for when the mood takes for that spare time to have a fish, despite the size surprisingly strong and Angling News on a recent trip to Ireland caught some good perch on this miniature outfit and can highly recommend this kit at a very affordable price.
