CUTTING EDGE LIGHTING TECHNOLOGY (Tackle)
Princeton Tec is launching two new cutting edge lighting products, which will break yet more barriers in the personal lighting technology industry.Princeton Tec led the competition last year with the release of their side emitting L.E.D. the first focusable L.E.D lighting system. The company has continued to make advancements in this area and are now introducing the Collimator Lens System.The EOS headtorch, which features this technology, gathers light and reflects it outward, making it more optically efficient than a standard LED headlamp. It is designed to give optimal performance for both localised needs and spotting at a distance. The combination of a Luxeon/1watt LED and the Princeton Tec designed Optimised Lens Collimator maximizes the beam by balancing long throw with floodlight. The benefit of the Collimator is that all of the light emitted is utilised which offers a much more intense output. The EOS weighs only 3.5 ounces, has an electronically controlled switch system with three levels of light output, hinged lamp housing, an emergency signalling mode and water –proof integrity up to one metre - making the EOS the most technologically advanced head torch on the market today.The Pilot is essential for anyone who knows how important it is to have a back up light for those times when the battery output has been exhausted from a primary light. The Pilot with a choice of LED's is literally a ‘just in case’ lighting system that is the ultimate in back up technology. It is a multi- function small light, which weighs just 15 grams and is designed to fit onto the head strap on most head torches, irrespective of manufacturer or whether they have rear or front mounted battery packs. The Pilot is also perfect for attaching to any backpack and hydration straps.The Pilot can be easily detached from its clip base making it very accessible and it features two lighting positions including an emergency-flashing mode. It is also available with a Red LED, which is Princeton Tec’s NightVision system. This shines a broad beam of red light that eases the strain on eyes but does not degrade the night vision as can happen with white light, making it perfect for map reading and other low light situations.
