Looking across the River Ebro to Miravet village and Templar castle, the cottage is located approx 8 km south of Mora d’Ebre in Catalonia.
The cottage is situated outside the small village of Ginestar which is 3 mins drive and the east river bank is only 5 mins drive. The village has shops selling local produce, and bars for relaxation after a good days fishing.
You can organise your own fishing programme, or take advantage of local experts who can organise the permits, bait, and take you to the best spots for the carp and catfish. The Ebro valley offers so many opportunities for fishing; from the deep-water reservoirs at Riba Roja, to fast or slow flowing streams in the river itself; take to the water in pontoon boats or try your luck on the riverbank. The surrounding area is rugged and unspoilt with mountain vistas all around the cottage. Consequently there are the alternative activities of walking, cycling and horse riding for the more athletic among us. Historical sites abound in the area or, alternatively the southern end of the Costa Daurada is only 30 mins drive away, which boasts unspoilt fishing village/resorts. Here there are many beaches, bars and restaurants, and beach casting and boat trips to enjoy. The family will never be bored in this area.
The easiest access is via Reus airport only 40 mins drive away, alternatively Barcelona airport is 1h 40mins distance with rail links to Tarragona and the nearest station of Mora La Nova 10 mins drive.
We offer the cottage at a high standard with fully equipped kitchen and diner, lounge, bathroom, and 2 double bedrooms. A terrace with pergola to the house front (south west facing) has the best views and is the perfect place to relax on an evening. The Price is £70,000.
