End of Season Report - 2007

Overall Season Catches: Excellent
Most Sucessfull Methods: Spoon
Biggest Fish: 27lbs
Start Date of Season: 1/1/07

Highlights:
A fantastic year for us despite an unusually late arrival of the first schools of King Salmon. Once we took our first fish it was non-stop all season, with an average of 11 fish per trip and some real nice fish in the mix. Biggest King only went 27lbs this year, but we had steelhead to 17lbs and browns to 12lbs. We really didn't target lake trout at all in 2007 as the Kings and Steelhead (Rainbow Trout) kept us busy trolling offshore right into November.
Autumn shore fishing on the Niagara was the best yet, with lots of King Salmon close to 20lbs, Steelhead, and Brown trout. Again, only a few Lakers, but when the action is as good as it has been this year, we really would prefer to leave them to grow big and old gracefully as they are not stocked.
If 2007 was anyhing to go by, 2008 is going to be a banner year for Kings (Chinook) Salmon and big Steelhead (Rainbow Trout)
